Holiday Cheer Along the Elbe River (port-to-port cruise)

Spend a day discovering the city known as the “Florence of the Elbe.” During a tour of the heart of Dresden, you’ll see famous locations such as the Taschenbergpalais, Semper Opera House, the Zwinger, and the cathedral. Our tour guide will also explain the holiday traditions in the region. We’ll have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, spend some free time visiting the Christmas markets scattered throughout the city at your own pace. The markets are a great place to taste local delights and find unique holiday gifts.

Join us for a tour of Prague by strolling the festive streets in the evening. As the sun sets, the city begins to light up bit by bit, building by building.  We’ll see the Charles Bridge with the Castle perched majestically on the hill before heading to Old Town Square to enjoy its fascinating astronomical clock and festive holiday ambiance.

This tour will begin at Prague Castle, where you’ll have a great view of the city below. We’ll then set out to discover Prague and its Christmas markets on foot. The charming Malá Strana quarter sits right below the castle, its streets winding down to the river. A walk through this cobblestone-paved district is only one of the romantic highlights the city has to offer.

You'll visit Staré Mesto, the historical heart of medieval Prague, containing one of the most famous squares in Europe. This quarter is home to impressive architecture and emblematic sites, such as the old town hall, its famous astronomical clock, and the Municipal House. This tour includes a tasting of the traditional Czech Trdelník cakes. Trdelník dough is grilled on iron spits and then rolled in a walnut sugar mix. This delight should be on the top of any visitor's to-do list in Prague. Spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the Christmas markets in the old part of the city. Soak up the unique European ambiance accented by the lights and delicious scents the holiday brings. Or grab a seat in a café in front of the astronomical clock to hear it strike and see the 15th-century figures come to life.

Join us for a tour of Nelahozeves Castle and the birth house of Antonin Dvorak. We’ll visit one of the most beautiful Renaissance castles in Bohemia that was home to 23 different Bohemian queens and princesses. The castle walls are elaborately adorned with Italian-style stucco and wall paintings depicting scenes from the Old Testament and Greek mythology. It is also home to a rich, private collection of furniture and paintings—including works by Rubens, Velazquez, and many others—all belonging to the Lobkowicz family, the oldest and most eminent Bohemian noble family. We’ll discover the luxurious lifestyle of the Bohemian nobility during the Baroque period. At the end of our tour, you’ll enjoy tasting a selection of wines from the castle’s vineyard.
